OpenStack A cloud operating system that controls large pools of computing, storage, and networking resources across a data center. They are all managed through a control panel Provides administrators with control while enabling users to provide resources through the web interface. In July 2010, Rackspace Cloud and NASA jointly launched a new cloud computing initiative known as OpenStack. The mission of the OpenStack project is to make any organization able to create and deliver cloud computing services on standard hardware. The first official release, called Austin, took four months and later plans to release updates every few months.
